The Nordic region, comprising of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, has been the hot spot of European game development for some time now. Companies like King, Mojang, Supercell, Rovio, DICE and Remedy have gained global attention and serve as showcases of the Nordic game development. These superstars are however just the tip of the iceberg. The Nordic developers particularly stand out in the field of mobile games and the Nordic region is famous of its large independent scene able to create innovative games of the future. There are over 700 studios in the Nordic countries and some of these studios might just be the next success stories.
